Outer School Pty Ltd (ABN 80 119 364 144) (“Outer School”, “we” or “us”) is committed to respecting and protecting your privacy in accordance with this Privacy Policy and relevant laws. In particular, we will not sell your personal information to third parties, although in some circumstances we may share your information as described in Section 3 below. This Policy expresses our approach to complying with Australian privacy laws and applies to personal information collected by us via the kidsouttaschool.com website (the “K.O.S. Site”) or otherwise.
You must not register with us or sign up to any service available via the K.O.S. Site if you do not accept this Privacy Policy and the applicable Terms of Use. This Privacy Policy is incorporated in and forms part of the Terms of Use.
If you are under the age of 18 you are not eligible to be registered as a user on the K.O.S. Site, so please do not submit any personal information via the K.O.S. Site.
1. Information Outer School will collect
When registering with us as a user you must provide us with personal information, such as your name, address, email address, current phone number(s), and usernames and passwords for accessing the K.O.S. Site and offered services. We will also require your credit card details, in order to supply goods and services to you.
We may also require personal information of the children for whom you wish to create user accounts (such children being included in the term “users”), including a user name (which may contain or consist of their name), the name of their school and the grade they are in. If you are not the parent or legal guardian of a child for whom you are creating a user account, you must ensure that you have obtained their consent before creating an account for that child by asking them to sign our Parental Consent Form.
If you do not provide the personal information requested, we may not be able to provide access to certain features of the K.O.S. Site or offer services to you or children for whom you wish to create a user account.
We will also collect the IP address of your computer and of users, to help us in detecting unauthorised transactions and to better manage website traffic. Our system may use “cookies” (small data files stored on your computer) to help manage use of the K.O.S. Site, including for purposes such as recognising regular users, avoiding the need to re-register each time you visit the K.O.S. Site and the need to re-enter passwords when moving between different pages on the K.O.S. Site.
From time to time we may conduct competitions or surveys. Participation in these is optional, and information collected will only be used in accordance with the relevant conditions of each competition or survey.
2. Purposes for which Outer School will use personal information
Where practicable, we will identify the purposes for which we collect personal information at or before the time the information is collected (including via this Privacy Policy). We will use personal information only for the purposes disclosed at the time of collection or as otherwise set out in this Privacy Policy, unless we have your consent to other use or such other use is authorised or required by law.

You acknowledge and agree that disclosures by us may in some cases be to recipients outside of Australia.
We will retain personal information only for as long as is necessary for the fulfilment of these purposes or as otherwise required or permitted by law.
We operate servers secured using industry standard techniques to process and store personal information. However, to the extent permitted by law we do not accept responsibility for the security of personal information transmitted over the internet, or the unauthorised access to or use of personal information by any person.
The security of your information and that of other users also relies on password protection. Do not disclose your password to anyone and ensure that the children for whom you have created user accounts understand the importance of keeping their passwords secret. We will never ask you to send your password or other sensitive information to us in an email or to enter it via any website other than one with an URL beginning with http://www.kidsouttaschool.com.
We or our authorised third parties may track usage of the K.O.S. Site. The K.O.S. Site may provide hyperlinks to third party websites not controlled by us. We are not responsible for the collection, use, or disclosure of information collected through these third party web sites, and we expressly disclaim any and all liability related to such collection, use or disclosure.
4. Contact with you
We may use your email address to contact you from time to time in relation to your kidsouttaschool.com registration, to send notices required by law, to provide information regarding the K.O.S. Site or to investigate or resolve any complaint or suspicious transactions. We may also contact you by telephone or mail for such purposes.
You will only receive promotional communications if you have elected to receive such communications. You can update your preferences at any time through the “Update My Details” link on the K.O.S. Site.
5. Access to your personal information
You can update your personal information at any time through the “Update My Details” link on the K.O.S. Site.
Also, on written request to our Privacy Officer at the address below we will provide you with the opportunity to access any personal information we hold about you and users for whom you administer a user account. We may charge a reasonable fee to cover our costs in providing such access. You may also ask us to update, amend or correct any personal information we hold about you and users for whom you administer a user account, and we will take reasonable steps to comply with your request. We will also take steps to comply with any such request made by someone whom we have reason to believe is a parent or guardian of a child for whom you administer a user account.
In certain cases, we may be entitled to refuse access to personal information we hold about you or users for whom you administer a user account, or to refuse to update, amend or correct such information, in which case we will usually provide you with a reason for our decision.
