kidsouttaschool ( kos ) is the most comprehensive 'out-of-school' development and activity program supporting socialising and constructive learning for children aged 5 to 12.
What are the activity packs for?
The activity packs are for fun and socialisation. They were made so children in out-of-school settings like OOSH and youth development programs can easily access an amazing amount of different activities that change with every single activity pack. In most places they are used in groups- they stimulate healthy socialisation. The kos is about confidence, skill building and creativity: smart, strong, friendly
Where do people use the activity packs?
The program is used for children who are not at school and whose parents are working or absent, especially in out-of-school-hours care (OOSHC). However, the program can cover a broad range of situations:
- OOSHC centers
- children supervised by casual, temporary and relieving staff
- vacation care providers
- school-excluded children
- childcare for isolated children
- distance and remote education
- out-of-home care
- children on long-term sick leave or in rehabilitation
- non English speaking background (NESB) children acclimatising to a new culture
A comprehensive individual activty pack, which is age and ability appropriate is available for each child, with a new activity pack available each week during the term.
Question: Who made the Activity Packs?
